Jo Scorah – “Journeys”

Jo Scorah – “Journeys”

28th November 2019 – 2nd January 2020

The notion of ‘Journeys’ engages us into a physical and emotional sense of space.

Paintings can vary between the purely abstract to the identification of form.

Sculptural installations emphasize the precarious suspension and tension that predominates today’s political climate.

The use of thread permeates through many of the works, and can fluctuate from wire to metal and silk.

Jo Scorah is a practicing visual artist based in NW England. She has an MA in Textiles & Fine Art from Manchester Metropolitan University, and exhibits her work widely through Museums and galleries. The focus of her work constitutes topics such as migration, displacement and shelter.

Alberto Petrivelli – “Down the Rabbit Hole”

7th November 2019 – 27th November 2019
Alberto Petrivelli “Down the Rabbit Hole” exhibition conveys his perspective of reality and the world that surrounds him. His work enhances the importance of human individuality living in the mass that is subconsciously molded by the media, the socials networks and false ideologies that continue to lose their uniqueness and originality.

As a self-taught Italian artist, Alberto continued his creative journey in 2003 when he relocated to London.

His unique use of mixed media began in 2010 that became his mark through building on reconstructed canvas, use of iron, steel, synthetics, natural fabrics, resins, acrylic and oil paint. These materials are then shaped out of the canvas into sculptures.

With the success of his art works, he has exhibited in UK, Italy and Holland.

Gardner Muirhead – “Ephemera”

Gardner Muirhead – “Ephemera”

17th October 2019 – 6th November 2019

Inspired by regular trips to Europe (mostly Berlin), Scottish artist Gardner Muirhead’s work concerns itself with found imagery, colour, balance and space; reflecting his love of modernism, typography, Weimar and cold war aesthetics.

Travel is integral to his creative process; He’s always searching for authentic source material in flea markets, antique shops and junk yards. He uses these found treasures – vintage magazines and print ephemera alongside his own painting, photography and printmaking to create juxtapositions, assemblage, and digital prints.

The trick is keeping an open mind – it’s as if all the different components interact with each other, invent their own logic and guide him to the finishing line – each piece of work creating a life of it’s own.

This is Gardner Muirhead’s first solo exhibition in London.

Luca Bertoletti – “Mindscapes, The Space In Between”

Luca Bertoletti

Thu, 3 October 2019, 18:00 – 22:00 BST

Luca Bertoletti is a trained architect and self-taught painter. A native of Rome, he moved to London in 2013 following his graduation. Being passionate about abstract composition in both art and architecture, he explores this topic through a linear yet dynamic research.

Through a series of abstract paintings ‘Mindscapes_TheSpaceInBetween’, he defines dreamlike landscapes and minimalist scenes that place the observer on the cusp of an inner and outer reality.

By combining a variety of media in a single project, he blurs the boundaries between what is two dimensional and three dimensional, applying an architectural organization to the space of the canvas.
