“LAURA MUNER COLLAGES” at OmniDe
Exclusive Art exhibition opening event with architect Laura Muner on Thursday, 11th September.
Laura Muner studied at the I.U.A.V.(Istituto Universitario Architettura Venezia) and at the Bartlett School of Architecture at UCL. After graduating she moved to London, where she has an established practice.
The collage works here on display exemplify the rationale behind proportionality and integrity of design and they are reminiscent of classical features of much art produced in the early 20th century. Linear references of Muner’s work can be identified in Hans Arp and Alberto Burri, artists who infused their interest in geometric form with purity and animation. It is fascinating to see how this DNA continues in Muner’s work.
She recognises and understands what the basic constitutes of design are, unchanged by fashion, and shares them with us as we let her compositions instill in us a sense of inner reflection and quietude.
